Did you know that there is a difference between a migraine and a tension headache?â€
There are two basic kinds of headaches and they are classified as chronic and episodic. A chronic headache is a headache that lasts for more than 15 days. Tension headaches start with a dull pain that usually ends up in an acute pain. These types of headaches throb on both sides of the head but as the day goes on the pain becomes powerful. There are many causes for this headache but the most frequent are stress, poor posture, and lack of rest.
Migraines are worse because they are extremely painful. When a person suffers from migraine they are extremely sensitive to light and sounds and they feel nauseous as well. People who have a history of migraine are more likely to have one again. It is perfectly normal for children to feel migraines as well. People who overuse over-the-counter medicines will experience a rebound in their migraine. A migraine tension headache happens when a migraine rebounds and it becomes persistent. Because it is a part of the menstrual cycle women experience migraines more often than men.
Migraine tension headache is also referred to as coexisting migraine, transformed migraine and chronic daily migraine. The bad thing about migraine tension headache is that the pain is just as terrible as a migraine and it recurs regularly. Due to the symptoms of headaches and migraines being present in a migraine tension headache doctors have a difficult time trying to identify what it is. One should not be dependent on pain killers as this can prove to be harmful. Because of the difficulty of identifying this sickness, only a doctor should prescribe a drug to help cure it.Do not attempt to cure yourself without the help of a doctor.
